Soccer or no soccer...

Today is just GROSS outside!!! Overcast, chilly and rainy.... YUCK!! It is also Bobby's first day of soccer with the kinder program. I have a feeling that it will be rained out. Bobby will be bummed, but that means he'll get to go an extra day at the end, because they try to make them up, since there are only 8 "practices" to begin with.

Amaryllis and I are up in the coffee shop today, and of course it's DEAD here. I don't anticipate much traffic due to the weather, so we'll wait and see and maybe even close up early since we are supposed to be here ALL DAY!!

The one good thing about the rain possibly?? Bobby might get Bob to let him play he Wii since he has been buggin over the past week! Bob had said that Bobby would have to wait until after the Olympics are over, and did tell them that he could possibly play on Tuesday! So, here it is Tuesday, with gross weather, and the chance (very good chance) that it's not going to clear up in time for soccer. Daddy better be ready to play this evening since I know he will be hounded otherwise!!!

We are starting to fall into a routine though, sort of, now that school is upon us full force! Bobby still doesn't want to wake in the morning, but once he is up and moving, he's ready to go. He has a hard time adjusting to the light too, which will hopefully improve when the time changes and we "fall back"!! I'm getting better at making sure that he is in bed by 8pm, and I usually have him there by 7:45, just because he has to sing the cd of choice still, "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown". I'm also getting better at trying to plan meals ahead of time, so I'm not standing in the kitchen at 5:30 debating what to make! Plus, I've worked out a system to bathe both kids that has been working out well!! And with soccer twice a week and me working until soccer, I already know what meals we are having so that he's not up later waiting for dinner... I love my crock pot and am going to look up more recipes so that next weeks dinners will be thought about already!! Things are still tricky, and definitely not perfect, but I am trying to organize better and have a better schedule!

The only time you don't play soccer is during a thunder storm w/ lightning. Any other kind of weather, they need to get out there and kick that ball around.

I know, but this is "baby soccer" where they don't really play a real game. It's more about learning the basics, plus it's VERY parent involved and some of these parents would probably throw fits!!
