Grocery Store fun!!!

So I was such a good mom the other day that I let the kids ride in the dreaded car grocery cart! I have to admit that the ones that they have at Food Lion are so much easier to push around and control than some of the others!! It was Amaryllis' first time in the car, and she really had a great time with Bobby! Bobby was almost too big to fit in it, especially with his sister sitting next to him. But I will admit that the both of them sat nicely and I had no problems the entire time we were in the store. I expected Amaryllis to try and get out, or stick her head out and almost get it smashed going down the aisles, but nope, she stayed in and drove. The drinks and snacks helped too, but you couldn't help but smile as you saw these two crazy kids in the grocery store!

Last day of Basketball

Bobby's last day of basketball was a few weeks ago, but I just downloaded the pictures!! Can you call me slow?? YES!!

Monday playgroup

On most Mondays, Amaryllis and I head to our weekly playgroup. I started going to this group when Bobby was little, but then he got to big. Now I get to go with Amaryllis and it is so great. We get to see some friends weekly, Amaryllis gets to play and I get to chat with other Mom's! It really is wonderful, and I really enjoy these ladies and the input that they have if I need it! Sometimes they have guest's come in to talk to us, and that's always nice, but it's great to just sit and talk too. The kids all seem to get along well with each other!


When I got out the camera this week, we had a room full of little models! It was so funny cause they all sat so nice. And the fun of digital camera's, being able to show these little ones the pictures right away! They loved that too!

Our new Kitchen

Yesterday at the consignment sale I saw this really cute play kitchen. I figured it was gonna go quickly, super cute and had a great price. At the end of the night... it was still there! So I took a picture of it and brought it home to Bob. We had been talking about getting one for Amaryllis ever since we saw how much fun she had with her doorway playhouse she got for Christmas. Bob really liked the wooden kitchens, and we found one that we liked. Of course we would have had to buy it online and pay for shipping. And considering the weight, it would have gotten pretty expensive. So seeing the condition that this one was in and the price... well, we got it today! And of course the kids loved it, even with no extras! Hee! I can't wait to start getting "stuff" for it and seeing the kids imaginations take off!

Oh, and Bobby wants to let Grandmom know that Chef Stromboli's BR location "Pizza Palace" will be open soon and he hopes that she is able to come and eat there soon!

Birthday fun!

Today I did have a very happy birthday! With the many messages that I got on Facebook, and calls from friends and family... THANKS!

My day started waking Bobby up for school and getting a wonderful card from my kids! Bobby had told Bob what he wanted to get me a few weeks ago. He did almost tell me, but I told him to keep it a secret, so I could be surprised. He actually did it this time! And I was very happy when I opened my card and found $5 inside!! Bobby's idea! How sweet!

After taking Bobby to school, I came home to another card from my wonderful hubby! I didn't get another $5 from him, but it did say I could go and get a manicure... FUN! He did state that I could really get whatever I wanted, but I mentioned that to him a few days ago and he remembered!

Amaryllis and I enjoyed our time at the library. It was a gorgeous day, so after walking to pick Bobby up from school, we played at the park for a bit! Got home and put Amaryllis down for her lat afternoon nap, and my friend Lisa came over to watch the kids til Bob got home so that I could go to the preview sale for the big kids consignment sale that opens this week. I won the ticket to go, so that was a great bday present! It was nice to walk around and not worry where the kids are or what they were touching! I picked up dinner on the way home for me and Bob and now we are eating ice cream and watching some tv! It really has been a nice birthday!
