Some Florida pics

So I know that it has taken me awhile to post some pictures of when we were in Florida!

Well, we went down because Ben and Karen were gonna be in Florida and I really wanted to see them! We also just happened to be there at the same time as Lily's 8th Birthday so we got to celebrate that with her too. She had and her friends got their nails done and then had a tea party. Then we got to go to Epcot as a family and eat in Japan. It was lots of fun!

We also got to visit with some friends and see Aunt Lara (still pregnant), Uncle Brian, Max, Aunt Meri, Aunt Missy, Uncle Mike, Luke and Aunt Missy's parents! It was wonderful to get to see some great friends!

Well, our trip ended up getting extended. Since we had more time in Florida, Amaryllis and I went to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom while Beca was working. Pappy was driving the buses that evening, and we were gonna ride his bus, but then he went on break! Better luck next time!

Well, Aunt Lara was scheduled to have baby Phoenix the day after we left, BUT the morning of February 9th I got a very special text message!! Aunt Lara was gonna have the baby that day! I was so excited that we would get to meet her before we left! She came into the world at 6:14pm weighing 7 lbs 13 ozs and was 20 inches long!

Unfortunately, the reason that we stayed in Florida was not the best. We mourn the loss, of Bob's Grandmother and the kids Great Grandmother. She was a dear soul and one of the greatest ladies one could ever want to meet. She welcomed me into the family with open arms and I never felt like an outsider. We were so lucky to be able to have visited with her and Nonni just a month before when we were down as a family! Amaryllis got to snuggle and dance with her, and Bobby got to read her a story! Those are awesome memories that will never be forgotten and now we know that we have an angel watching over us! We love you Nonni!!

Kinder Basketball

Today was Bobby's first day of Kinder b-ball. He sure did have a good time, although I thought that it was quite chaotic!! A few of his friends are also in it, but he wasn't grouped with any of them, although "group" might not be the correct word since parents didn't know what the heck was going on and just let their child run around from group to group. ARG! The lady that usually runs it got another job, so she wasn't there but 2 of the 3 guys that were there have been doing the kinder sports with Amy for quite some time. And the third guy seemed a little overwhelmed by all the little kiddos running circles around them. After talking to one of the guys afterward, he says that becaus of the space inside, it's usually chaotic the first few times, so hopefully that will get better. I think that I need to get them a blow horn though so that they can tell people what's going on! I just think that the parents who had never done this before were clueless and had no idea what was supposed to be happening in the first place! And some of the parents need to stop playing basketball themselves and watch and cheer on their own kids! I was ready fr the adults ball wack me in the head while I was holding Amaryllis! I would have had a feild day with that one! Hopefully all of this will get ironed out and we will have a great time the next 4 weeks with the program. Plus, I talked to one of the guys and for the next time, Bobby should be in the same group as 3 of his friends!

Oh, and on a side note, balls go so much farther on a gym floor as opposed to the grass!! Those little basketballs were going everywhere. Bobby's ball rolled all the way across the gym floor, and I don't think he was paying attention to how close it was getting to the wall, when he slammed forehead first into it!! Poor guy! No goose egg, but a nice mark was left!

And of course I had forgotten the camera, next time! I need to download all those pictures from FL anyway!

FOREVER!!!

I know that it's been almost a month since my last post! Well, I went out of town for what was to be a week long trip that turned into a 2.5 week long trip!! Amaryllis and I had a great time, for the most part. We got to see life come into the world, and sadly be there when life left to better places. It was great to be able to visit with family and friends, some of which live on the west coast. I have not uploaded the pics to the computer yet, but will hopefully get that done tomorrow and then will post some more. Just thought that I would post a little something since it has been so long since I have.
